Pedro Henrique de Faria is a trombonist and composer, received a double major in trombone performance and composition from Campinas State University (UNICAMP), studying trombone with Robson de Nadai and composition with José A. Mannis, Jônatas Manzolli, Denise Garcia et al. During his bachelor studies in composition he won scholarships to an exchange program at Goldsmiths College – University of London (2012), studying with Jeremy P. Jones, Michael Young, Craig Ayrey et al; and to a study abroad program at McGill University (2012-13), studying with Melissa Hui, Marcelo Wanderley, Chris Paul Harman, Brian Cherney et al. Regarding performance, besides attending courses and masterclasses with Christian Lindberg, Jacques Mauger, Wagner Polistchuk, Darcio Gianelli et al, he privately took lessons with Toby Oft and Jonas Bylund. There is a special interest in new music, premiering over 12 new works for solo or chamber music with trombone during the last 5 years. Pedro Henrique is currently a M.Mus student in Composition at UNICAMP, studying with José Henrique Padovani and Jônatas Manzolli on analytical and compositional aspects of live-electronics in mixed music in the 21st century repertoire.
